Alex sneered at his father, then looked back at Jackie. "I happen to know a really great navigator. The only problem is he has a tag along. Would tha be fine?"
Charlotte glared at him, elbowing him in the back.

"So? The more the merrier!" said Jackie. She faced the brick wall, "Now to get out of here." she said. She ran towards the wall and whispered, "Two sword style Cutting a door." The swords cut through the bricks and there was a door way in the wall. She sheathed the katana's, "Lets get going!" she said already running towards the docks.

"Good..." Alex said, then watched her run. He looked back to the navy and smiled. "Goodbye gentlemen!" He said then fired the gun at the Major's feet. Then he ran the direction Jackie ran.
Only, Charlotte didn't run. She sat there for a moment, hugging her new book close to her and staring at the navy+the Major.

Jackie saw Charlotte just staring into space, she turned around and ran fast. "Charlotte!" she said. A Marine fired his gun at Charlotte but Jackie was faster. She grabbed Charlotte's hand and she ran all the way to the boat. She checked the wind and fixed her sail, "Run Alex run!" she yelled. He was still running.

Charlotte didn't even see the bullet coming toward her, but willing let Jackie drag her. She quickly got onto the boat.
"Yeah yeah!" Alex called. "Give me a second," he said, then ran into a shack near the dock. He came out seconds later, carrying two boxes stacked on each other. He staggered to the boat, and handed a box to Charlotte, who lifted it up and set it on board. He was next on board. "Okay, I'm ready!" He said out of breath.

Jackie untied the rope and they were off! When the Marines came the looked like tiny ants to Jackie, "Man, that was some good exercise.....So what are in those boxes?" she asked.

"No kidding..." Alex said, still catching his breath. "The boxes? Uh, one of them has food and good water... And rum..." He paused. "And the other has clothing... Money... Books..."

Jackie sighed, "OK, cool. Here," she handed him a map, "It's the map from this island to the next. Can you get us there?" she asked.

Alex looked at the map, then nodded. "Mmmhmm... I can." He grabbed the map and then stared out into the sea.
Then there was Charlotte, who sat there, her nose buried in her new book.

Jackie smiled, "She sure does like to read books huh?" she said. She remembered when her mother read her books. "Mother...." she thought. She looked at her hand, it was trembling.

"Mmmhmm. I can't ever tear her away from 'em." Alex said, as he turned the wheel of the ship slightly.
Charlotte look up and saw Jackie's hands trembling. She set her book down and walked over to Jackie, then set her hand on Jackie's. She smiled lightly.

"Sorry sometimes when I remember about my mother, my hands start to tremble. Don't worry about me, I'm use to this by now." said Jackie. She looked at Alex, "So, when do we find the next island?" she asked.

Charlotte nodded and her hand slipped away from Jackie's, her smile slipping away too.
Alex shrugged. "I'm not actually sure. Maybe... Like, half a day... I think. Savvy?"

Jackie relaxed a bit and laid down on her small boat, "OK, that gives me time to take a power nap. I didn't sleep much when I arrived at Mushroom Isle. Those people were so noisy." she said closing her eyes, "Wake me if we reach the island, if I'm not already up." she added.

Jackie woke up and saw that Charlotte was still reading her book, but Alex had fallen asleep. She smiled, "He must be tired." she said. She grabbed her scope and looked through it at the direction they were headed. She saw an island and she smiled, "Oi, Charlotte. We're almost at Citrus Island! I can't wait to see if there are anymore people who want to be part of the crew!" she said. Jackie then heard another ship, far off behind them. She grabbed the scope and looked. She nearly dropped it into the sea, the Marines were following them. She made a 'che' sound. She nudged Alex, "Oi, we are in trouble so wake up!!" she said. She grabbed the ores and started to row, fast.
